Enzo Jewelers made fine jewellery that their customers loved — but search was dominated by big-name retailers and well-optimised Shopify competitors. Their store was on Shopify but built for looks, not performance: slow load times, no SEO architecture, and product descriptions written for the display case rather than for Google.
The problem ran deeper than rankings. When traffic did arrive, the conversion path was unclear — collections were hard to browse, product pages lacked buying signals, and there was no trust infrastructure (reviews, guarantees, material callouts) to close high-consideration purchases. We treated the Shopify rebuild and the SEO strategy as one project, not two. Every structural decision in the store — URL architecture, collection hierarchy, internal linking — was made with both the customer journey and search engine crawling in mind. A beautiful store that doesn't rank is a billboard in the desert.
Phase 1 was technical. We audited and rebuilt the theme for Core Web Vitals, restructured the collection architecture to match keyword clusters, and built a content foundation with optimised category pages for every major product type. Phase 2 was editorial: AI-assisted keyword research surfaced 200+ long-tail intent clusters that generic tools miss — queries like "rose gold engagement ring under $2000" that convert at 4× the rate of head terms.
The product page template was redesigned to include the buying signals that high-consideration shoppers need: material specifications, sizing guides, quality callouts, and social proof — in the right sequence to move from browsing to purchasing.
