We publish performance figures and case studies because they are the honest record of what happened. This page explains what those numbers mean, what they do not promise, and how to read anything on this site before you act on it.
The important one. Past results do not predict future results. Every figure on this site describes a specific client, in a specific market, with a specific offer and budget, at a specific time. None of it is a forecast for your business, and nothing on this site is a guarantee of any outcome.
1. Performance claims and case studies
Where we cite results, including aggregate figures such as leads generated or revenue attributed across our client base:
- The figures come from the reporting platforms used on those engagements, such as Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics 4 and client CRM systems.
- Attributed revenue is not the same as profit. Attribution models assign credit to marketing touchpoints using rules and modelling, and different models produce different numbers for the same period.
- Results reflect the client’s own product, pricing, sales capability and market conditions as much as the marketing.
- Case studies describe the outcome for that client. They are examples, not a representative average, and they are not typical of what any given business will achieve.
- Figures are accurate as at the reporting period stated. We do not restate them as circumstances change.
If you want to see how a number was calculated before you rely on it, ask and we will explain the methodology.
2. No guarantee of results
Nobody can guarantee a search ranking, a lead volume, a cost per acquisition or a return on ad spend, and any agency that does is telling you something they cannot control. Outcomes depend on your offer, pricing, competition, budget, sales follow-up, seasonality, and platform algorithm and policy changes that arrive without notice.
Targets in a proposal are projections based on stated assumptions. They are what we are aiming at with the plan we have described, not a contractual commitment, unless a signed statement of work explicitly makes a figure a deliverable.
3. Content is information, not advice
Articles, guides, frameworks and templates on this site are general information for a business audience. They are not professional advice for your situation, and they do not create a client relationship. Nothing here is legal, tax, financial, accounting or investment advice. Before acting on anything you read here, take advice from someone who knows your circumstances.
4. AI-assisted content
Some of our articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a person before publication. Review reduces errors; it does not eliminate them. Statistics, citations, technical instructions and claims about named companies should be verified against a primary source before you rely on them. Tell us about a mistake and we will correct it. See the AI Usage Policy for how we use these tools.
5. Accuracy and currency
Digital marketing changes fast. An article that was accurate when published may be out of date now: platforms rename features, retire tools and rewrite policies. We do not undertake to update older content, and a publication date on an article is a signal about how much to trust its specifics.
6. External links and third-party tools
We link to other sites and recommend tools where we find them useful. We do not control them, do not endorse everything they say or do, and are not responsible for their content, pricing, security or availability. Assess any third-party tool against your own requirements before adopting it. Where a link is affiliated or we receive a commission, we will say so on the page.
7. Screenshots, logos and trade marks
Platform screenshots and third-party names and logos appear for identification and illustration. They belong to their owners, and their appearance does not imply partnership, endorsement or certification unless we say so explicitly. Client names and logos appear with permission.
8. Photography
Photographs on this site are credited where required. Images sourced from Unsplash are used under the Unsplash licence, and any photograph that is not documentary of Varnan’s own people or work is labelled as illustrative. Do not read a stock photograph as a depiction of our team, our office or a specific client engagement.
9. Availability
We do not promise the site will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove content at any time.
10. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Varnan is not liable for loss arising from your reliance on anything published on this site. The full liability position is set out in the Terms of Service for the website, and in the Client Service Terms for paid work. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
